§ 03 Our story

The name we chose,
and the promise it makes.

The most extraordinary outcomes can emerge from the most unexpected places.

Mrs. Claris Otieno
Director

The Paradox Academy was founded upon a bold and enduring belief: that excellence in education is not a privilege reserved for the few, but a birthright belonging to every child. Established in Siaya by Dr. Charles Otieno Konyango, the Academy began as a singular vision — to build a school that could stand alongside the finest institutions in the nation while remaining deeply rooted in the community it serves.

Our chosen name embodies our founding philosophy. A paradox reveals a deeper truth hidden beneath the surface — and we believe a school in Siaya can produce scholars and champions who compete on the national and global stage. That is our paradox, and our solemn promise.

Today the Academy is distinguished by rigorous academics, devoted educators, modern facilities, and a culture that celebrates effort, integrity, and excellence. Looking ahead, we are developing a GCSE international pathway that will offer our learners globally recognised qualifications alongside their CBC education.
